DEPOT
It was a small working party today due to work commitments and bad weather. The throughput of visitors in the Depot was also affected with a mere handful but despite that, those who did come through showed a keen interest in Deltics, and the cab of 55008 certainly helped. Several membership forms were taken away.
Another one of the spare compressors we have, this was not from a Deltic, was cleaned down and prepped ready for a repaint before being despatched away back to the manufacturers as part of a deal for the overhaul of 2 of our own back to zero hours.

We now have a supply of thermal wood pellets for our heaters we purchased a while back. Once all last year's debris had been cleaned out it was set up and loaded with pellets into the hopper and a fire was lit, away it went with no additional work. It is far better than just burning old wood and depot rubbish; the depot was noticeably warmer.
D9015
Four 'Delectricians' were busy all day doing what electricians do and were busy chasing back cables to see why there was no current and other associated issues, it's work in progress and things are progressing slowly. Meanwhile on a bench the new cab floor panels were having their brass trims fettled and fitted. Job is now complete.

Shouldn't Steve "the compressor cleaner" be out in his sleigh delivering parcels ?
