Depot Report 5/4/25
55009.
Further progress on the repaint.
The FP white cabs now adorn both ends of the loco. The head code panels have been fitted, and are awaiting the rubber seals so that the perspex discs can be fitted. Progress was also made with the fitting of some of the decals.
The red buffer beams and bogie springs were painted.
Inside the loco a general tidy up was undertaken and the leaky silencer drain was attended to.

D9015.
Electrically the field divert auxiliary contacts were tested in situ and away from the loco a spare general purpose latch relay and an S-2 engine start contactor were refurbished. A start has also been made on refurbishing other electrical components from within the stores.

A fuel filter was rebuilt with new seals and fibre washers ready to exchange for the one on PU 417 which the engineers suspect was allowing air into the fuel system.

Depot.
The organisation of the stores is in full swing now and this week saw the delivery of some new racking and other assorted items.

55019 had two trouble free days running at the GCR Reunification event and looked fantastic in the spring sunshine. The sales stand was at Quorn over the weekend.

Fundraising
The phasing case appeal is rising steadily. We now have our 2nd Phasing Case, 423, sent away to the contractors. 420's is under installation.
If you are able to contribute please consider making a donation. Every £1 raised is appreciated and goes directly towards the overhaul of the phasing cases for PU430 and 423.
