The Waverley Re-Union – Saturday January 5th 2019

Pathfinder Tours has announced details of the first ‘Deltic’ hauled railtour of 2019, which will see D9009 ‘ALYCIDON’ running as D9007 ‘PINZA’ on ‘The Waverley Re-Union’ tour to Tweedbank, marking the 50th anniversary of the colsure of the Waverley route. The last train, which was hauled by ‘PINZA’ (hence the renumbering/renaming for the day), ran 50 years ago to the day on January 5th 1969.
